Mono Printing Craft Workshop
Visit our 300-year-old farm house to learn a new skill in mono-printing – take inspiration from the scenery surrounding the house or from the garden or one of our many cats and make unique art work using mono-printing techniques. You will be able to take your work home with you for framing. Mono printing is especially useful to help develop ideas. Every student will leave with a stack of printed designs on lightweight newsprint paper which is well suited to pick up monoprint techniques.
We will work around the kitchen table – mono-printing on acrylic sheet and will get an opportunity to experience working on a geli-plate, experimenting with texture and stencils. We will use found objects like leaves and textured paper to add interest as well as freehand drawing and cut out stencils and imagery from the internet and magazines.
