I love making invitations for parties – the Snowflake Cards you see here were for a winter party in January.
The key to making a good card is the texture of card used; sumptuous textures, hand made elements and hand printed paper. The design here is also layered using 3d foam pads to add an extra dimension. I’ve used both the negative cut out and the cut out piece in the two colours to make this card andd the result is effective.
Behind thepearlescent blue you can see I’ve used a Cuttlebug embossed layer, also with snowflakes to continue the theme. I used a wavy edge cutter to make a special distinction between the two layers. Finally I used a textured manilla card to mount on as I like the unassuming, natural look it lends.
